From the 2 to 5 December, members of the Oireachtas Joint Committee on Foreign Affairs and Trade visited Canada. Their fact-finding mission was aimed at strengthening the Ireland-Canada relationship.

Trade Mission to Canada 2025: Minister Peter Burke TD Visit
Minister for Enterprise, Tourism and Employment, Peter Burke T.D. visited Ottawa from 16-20 November2025 to lead a trade mission of Irish businesses to Canada. The delegation attended high-level meetings in Ottawa and Toronto, with the Minister making a number of important announcements that will significantly strengthen the Ireland-Canada economic relationship.

Irish Night On The Hill 2025
On Wednesday November 18th, the Embassy of Ireland to Canada, in partnership with the Canada Ireland Interparliamentary group, hosted the 5th annual Irish Night on the Hill. Chaired by James Maloney MP, the Canada-Ireland Inter-parliamentary group has 116 members, who greatly contribute to strengthening the political, trade and cultural ties between our two countries.

The Atlantic Pitch – International Sports Diplomacy
On Saturday 25 October, the Embassy of Ireland to Canada arranged “The Atlantic Pitch”; two exhibition matches between Irish hurling players and Canadian baseball players at the Superdome at Ben Franklin Park, as part of Ireland’s new International Sports Diplomacy initiative, aimed at using sport, including traditional Gaelic games, to help foster the Irish diaspora’s connection to Ireland.

Cork Trade Mission to Canada
Following the visit of Taoiseach Micheál Martin to Ottawa and the launch of a major new Canada–Ireland Economic Report, a trade mission from the County and City of Cork visited Montreal, Ottawa and Toronto from 28 September to 3 October. Focusing on the areas of tourism, cooperation between third-level institutions, investment and trade.
