Each year on St Patrick's Day we come together as a global community to celebrate Ireland's culture and mark Ireland's values. Applications for the 2025/2026 Emigrant Support Programme closed on Wednesday 19th February. The next round till open in early 2026.

St Brigid's Day 2025
In Ireland, 1 February marks the beginning of spring and the celebration of Lá Fhéile Bríde, St Brigid’s Day. The day has long symbolised hope, renewal and the feminine. Today, Irish communities across the world mark the day by celebrating the creativity of women, through a broad programme of events.

As part of a series of events to mark the 25th anniversary of the opening of the Consulate in Edinburgh we were proud to host staff from universities and colleges across Scotland at two networking events to highlight how academic links underpin much of the relationship between Scotland and Ireland and support the work of the Consulate.
