People, peace and prosperity: the story of the Irish in California
Ireland has had a diplomatic presence in California for over 90 years but Irish people have lived in California for even longer.
The story of Ireland and California is one of collaboration, whether in innovation, culture, or peacebuilding. Exploring this culture of collaboration, Ireland's Consulate in San Francisco has produced a three-part mini docuseries features interviews with community leaders, executives, diplomats, and politicians on the historical strength of this relationship and where it is going next.

Episode two – Peacebuilding
Part two covers the role California played in supporting peacebuilding efforts on the island of Ireland, and how we continue to collaborate to advocate for peace around the world.
Episode three – Prosperity
The final instalment demonstrates how the economic connections between California and Ireland have helped both regions to build a shared prosperity, and the shape of the economic relationship as we look to the future.
