Ireland at your fingertips

TheBlind-SheepFrame

We have partnered with French artist 'The Blind' to present this immersive art experience, showcasing corners of Ireland and glimpses into Irish culture.

Immerse yourself in each scene, exploring the full 360° view and listening to the audio description of the sights and sounds of each location.

Rediscover the art of contemplation

This multidimensional piece aims to raise awareness about visual impairments while offering a reflection on our relationship to images.

We live in an image-saturated world. Even when travelling, we are increasingly accustomed to experiencing the world through our screens - capturing, sharing and revisiting the world around us in a single, disposable click on our phones.

Experiencing the world through the prism of sound and description allows us to decelerate this temporality.

Like a polaroid that gradually develops when exposed to light, the world reveals itself through the weaving of sounds and words. Through the use of sound and audio description, this exhibition invites you to take the time to rediscover the art of describing and contemplating the world around us.

How does it work?

Each of the below scenes of Ireland contains an interactive view of the location for you to explore, paired with a narrated description.

To explore the 360° view, on desktop you can use your mouse to click to move around, or on mobile, use your finger to swipe. Click the 'Start the 360° video' to hear an audio description of the scene.

The creative team

The Blind

After several years as a graffiti artist, The Blind began using braille writing to create unique graffiti works designed to raise public awareness. Each message is unique and takes on its own meaning depending on the place in which it is displayed. In this project, the artist explores new possibilities offered by digital technologies.

Olive Yeah
